BioLamina is the brainchild of Professor Karl Tryggvason, Dr Kristian Tryggvason, Dr Sergey Rodin, and Magnus Kenneby.

For over 20 years, Karl Tryggvason has led the basal lamina and laminin fields. Having cloned most of the human laminin chains, his experience, methods and know-how for production and purification of complex matrix proteins are unparalleled. What’s more, we collaborate with a wide international network of leading neurobiologists, immunologists and stem cell biologists.

Tryggvason’s lab is the only one in the world that manufactures animal-free recombinant laminins, having patented several methods to optimize the growth of stem cells – enabling BioLamina to close the gap between research and clinical applications and commercialization.
