Mesenchymal Stromal Cells
Full-length Biolaminin® 521 substrate enables biologically relevant and standardized Mesenchymal Stromal Cell culture. By mimicking native extracellular matrix (ECM) signals, Biolaminin® 521 supports consistent cell behavior across both basic research and clinical manufacturing workflows.

Standardized and Efficient MSC Culture with
Full-Length Laminin
Mesenchymal stromal cells (mesenchymal stem cells, MSCs) are adherent cells widely studied for their immunomodulatory and regenerative potential, with ongoing clinical studies in graft-versus-host disease, aging-related disorders, autoimmune diseases, and tissue repair. However, variability introduced by undefined and xenogenic culture conditions limits reproducibility and delays clinical translation.
MSCs sense and respond to microenvironmental cues, with extracellular matrix (ECM) interactions playing a central role in regulating identity and function. Laminins, key components of the ECM, are fundamental regulators of cell adhesion, phenotype, and migration within both stem cell and tissue-specific niches.
Biolaminin® substrates are full-length, recombinant human laminins that are xeno-free and chemically defined, providing a standardized, biologically relevant surface for MSCs expansion and differentiation. By mimicking native ECM signals, Biolaminin supports consistent cell behavior across basic research and clinical manufacturing workflows.

iMSCs: Expanding MSCs Sources Through iPSC Technology
Pluripotent stem cell-derived mesenchymal stem cells (iMSCs) offer strong potential for regenerative medicine. iMSCs are generated by differentiating induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into MSCs, offering new solutions to overcome limitations associated with primary tissue sources and patient variability.

Full-length laminin-521 has been demonstrated to support the efficient generation of iMSCs from iPSCs and their differentiation into osteoblasts. iMSCs offer several advantages:
✓ Unlimited and reliable MSCs source
✓ Improved experimental reproducibility
✓ Compatible with standardized manufacturing protocols
✓ Lower immunogenicity risk
